Reporting is the last stage of a system rather than a product on its own. Where the numbers are unreliable because the process upstream is manual, the fix is usually further up the chain. See business systems.
They get sold together and they are not the same job. Integration is about the present: a booking reaching the calendar, an invoice raised without retyping. Data work is about the record: every booking and every invoice, over years, in one place, defined the same way, so a question about the business has one answer instead of four.

We can build to your retention and deletion rules and evidence what was done. We are not a substitute for a DPO on regulated or large-scale personal data.
Genuine petabyte-scale engineering
If the volume really is that large, the right answer is a specialist team and we will say so rather than learn on your budget.
Replacing a finance system with a dashboard
Reporting reads the truth, it does not become it. If the underlying system is wrong, fix that first.
Reporting nobody asked for
If nobody can name the decision a chart would change, it should not be built.

How long does it take to get a first dashboard?
Two to four weeks for a straightforward build off systems that already have APIs. Longer where history has to be extracted and cleaned first, which the audit tells you before you commit.
Which tools do you build on?
Whatever fits: Power BI, Looker Studio, Postgres or BigQuery. Chosen for what your team already uses and can maintain, not for what is convenient to us.
Do we need a data warehouse?
Often not. If the numbers live in two systems with decent APIs, reporting can read them directly. A warehouse earns its keep when there are several sources, real history, or definitions that need enforcing.
What happens if the data is a mess?
That is the normal starting point. Cleansing is part of the work rather than a prerequisite you have to complete before calling.
Who owns it at the end?
You do. The warehouse, the pipelines, the dashboards, every file and the cloud accounts are all in your name, with no lock-in.
