Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
The short version: I collect what you send me, I use it to reply to you and do the work, I don't sell it, and this site doesn't track you. The longer version follows, because the law rightly asks for the detail.
Who is responsible for your data
Werehouse Media is a UK website and AI systems practice run by Ed, based in England. For anything in this policy, email homesoko.management@gmail.com. Email is the fastest way to reach me; a postal address is available on request.
What I collect
- Enquiry details you send through the website build form, the AI systems form or by email: your name, business name, email address, current website (if any), rough timeline, and anything you write in the message box.
- Correspondence, if we exchange emails or hold calls.
- Client data, if we work together: the information needed to build your site or system and deliver the work, governed by our written agreement.
- Technical logs kept briefly by my hosting provider (Netlify) when you visit: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. I don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Why I use it, and the legal basis
- To assess your enquiry and reply: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
- To deliver services if we work together: performance of a contract.
- To keep records the law requires, such as invoices: legal obligation.
- Marketing: I don't send marketing emails. If that ever changes, I'll ask for your consent first and every email will include an unsubscribe link.
Who it's shared with
I don't sell or rent personal data. It's shared only with the services that run this practice:
- Google (Gmail and Workspace), for email and document storage.
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website. Netlify is a US company; transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses.
Beyond that, data is disclosed only where the law requires it.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't become client work: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
- Client records: kept for the engagement and up to 6 years afterwards, where needed for legal, tax or contractual reasons.
- Hosting logs: retained briefly by Netlify under its own retention policy.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising tags. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and, where the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require it, you'll be asked before any non-essential cookies are set.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:
- show you the personal data I hold about you (access);
- correct it (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- limit how it's used (restriction);
- pass it to someone else in a usable format (portability);
- stop using it where I rely on legitimate interests (objection).
Email homesoko.management@gmail.com and I'll respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though I'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
Any changes will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
Plain-English promise: if anything here is unclear, ask and I'll explain it properly. The same goes for how your data is handled during an engagement, which is set out in writing before any work starts.
